A Little About Me:

I recently relocated from Phoenix, Arizona where I spent five years basking in the heat and sun of the "Valley of the Sun."  While living there, I attended Arizona State University, where I received my bachelor's degree in both creative writing and mass communication.  Taking both those majors gave me great experience for the professional world.

While living in Arizona, I was fortunate enough to gain some great professional experience.  I worked in radio out there for over three years.  I worked as a disc jockey, copy writer, promotions assistant, and many other tasks to long to name.  There I was fortunate enough to wear many different "hats" in the media world.  I would write press releases, develop brochures, and update content on our station website.

I also held a job as a copy writer while living in Phoenix.  The company was an online advertising company.  While working there I wrote and developed websites for many different types of companies.

This brings me back to Pennsylvania, where I am searching for employment in the field of writing and design.  I consider myself to be a very creative person, and I have shown that to previous employers.

What's New?

One of my passions is rock music and rock music news.  Please check back often for what is happening in the world of rock music.  I want to be your source!!!

Last night was amazing!  I got to interview a great band and see an amazing rock show.  Who was it?  STONE SOUR, that's who.  Frontman Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root from Slipknot, formed Stone Sour as a side project, but it has become bigger than that.  They are a full-fledged band with a very unique sound.  Some of their songs are on the heavy side, but a lot of their songs are very melodic.  You may remember their 2002 debut hit, "Bother" from the Spider-man soundtrack.  That got the band off and running out of the gate.  Fast forward five years later, and they are on track to becoming a rock band super band.

What a great show they put on!  I had the great chance to interview the opening band, Sydonia.  If you have not heard of them it is probably because they are from Austrailia.  They were discovered when Stone Sour went over to Austrailia for a tour.  And next thing Sydonia knows, they are here in America on a huge summer tour with Stone Sour.  Gotta love the way the music business runs.  Anyway, they are five great guys with a huge amount of potential.  A ton of respect towards Sydonia for doing what they are doing.  Please buy their record in iTunes.  It is well worth it.  They are five regular guys who want a chance at breaking into American music.
